About Helter: Swinging from bruised, fragile melodies to dramatic noise-fuelled cacophonies, HELTER have been bringing their dynamic and intense live shows to venues around Sydney for over three years. Described by The Brag as ‘lusciously melancholy’, the sydney quartet draw influences from such sources as australian indie luminaries Bluebottle Kiss & Big Heavy Stuff, Neil Young, Nick Cave and the bad seeds, and Death Cab for Cutie

2007, and a brand new EP ‘Sleeping Through Storms. Recorded and mixed by Chris Vallejo at the all analogue Linear recording studios in leichhardt, sydney, over 3 days, and mastered by the legendary Don Bartley, the 5-track record showcases the diversity of sounds and moods that Helter can conjure. From the summery-haze pop of Tied Behind, Day of the Pines’ abstract noise-rock, to the driving narrative maelstrom of Lack of cinema, lo-fi acoustic in Solo Rider, and an epic finale in the form of Inventing. ‘Sleeping Through Storms’ is a collection of dramatic, widescreen, fables, to absorb and interpret - made to last.
