IZABO

About IZABO: Izabo's debut album "The Fun Makers" was released in Israel in 2003 to rave reviews marking the band as the biggest alternative success in its native country.
Following "The Fun Makers" success, Izabo were signed to SONY BMG and release "The Morning Hero EP" in the UK the same year. The EP paved the way for a UK headlining tour of the Barfly clubs in five cities. Both the tour and the EP received a very warm welcome from the Indie media, and the band was soon invited to do a BBC 6Music recorded radio session.

Izabo's music has been described as a "Brilliant, action packed combination of Psychedelic Rock, Disco, Punk and Arabic spices", or, if we are to name-drop, like an unlikely cross between Led Zeppelin, the Talking Heads, and Om Koltom. Featuring high-to-ultra-high vocals, twisting and expressive Arab-flavored guitar work, powerfully funky bass lines, arrogantly catchy keyboards and intense disco beats, Izabo have established themselves as one of Israel's most absorbing live acts.

Izabo had collaborated with many well-known Israeli artists both in the studio and on stage, from Ahuva Ozery to Israel Prize winning choreographer Ohad Naharin. Izabo's Duet with "Shotey Hanevu'a" earned them an Israeli Music Award for best song in 2005. "Superlight" is set to be released in Israel on July 3rd, and in France on March 2nd via Roymusic/Discograph.
