Nadene Pita has developed an exploratory, sound that encompasses songs of haunting beauty, sound art, electro-acoustic improvisation. While abstract jazz, experimental folk and classical elements inform her music, her mixed heritage, childhood, surrealist stories and Buddhist philosophy suffuses i twith diversity and humanity. She is at the cutting edge of new music.

Trained in classical viola and jazz voice she uses live electronics and has recently released her debut album, Turning Arrows into Flowers.

Recorded using analog and digital technology in both a wooden cottage in the Kangaroo Valley and a seaside apartment at Sydney's Bondi Beach. Turning Arrows into Flowers was mixed in Berlin by producer Tony Dupe (Saddleback/Holly Throsby).

Her sound is eclectic and riveting in performance.
She works with some of Australia's most respected musicians including Chris Abrahams (The Necks) Abel Cross and Hamish Stuart.
Nadene has collaborated and performed with the Sydney Dance Company, The Gospel Ensemble Jubilation and the experimental ensemble The Splinter Orchestra.
