Till Kahrs

About Till Kahrs: Till Kahrs started out in the early 90’s as a songwriter and quickly developed his skills as a songsmith. The LA Times referred to him as, "a master of hooks". Till started singing on his own demo tapes after being encouraged by his fellow songwriters who thought he had a great voice. He built a huge following playing the coffee house circuit in Orange County and LA. The OC Register’s longtime Music Critic Gene Harbrecht, has described Kahrs’ voice as "distinctive and disarming" while depicting his music as "down to earth". Kahrs had the chance to perform at The Bluebird Café and Tootsies Bar in Nashville, and played venues in LA like Twin Palms, Genghis Cohen and The Galaxy Theater.
In ‘92, Till got "signed" to a record deal with Autogram Records in Germany. The relationship proved to be successful as he toured Europe in the summer of ’94 to support his hit "Playin’ For Keeps" and again in the summer of ’95 to support his hit "Slow Burn Woman".
In ’94, Till headlined/sold out the original Crazy Horse in Santa Ana, CA. It was a huge success as the LA Times reported, "Throughout the evening, Till connected to his fans with his easygoing charm. As much fun to watch as he was to listen to, he moved around the stage punctuating his music with energy that seemed to flow naturally." Kahrs returned to The Crazy Horse in ’95 for another big show, before heading off on his second European tour. He received TV coverage and the show proved to be another hit with critics and fans.
