Ron Campbell

About Ron Campbell: Canadian musician Ron Campbell played his first professional gig at the age of 14. More than 40 years later, he's still actively playing, writing, recording and teaching.

Primarily a guitarist, he also plays bass, keyboards, drums and harmonica. He is equally at home as a solo performer or a leader or sideman in any type of band.

Ron is a versatile songwriter with a catalog of about 40 songs. In 2001, he was chosen as a Songwriter Delegate to the BC Festival of the Arts. Although he writes both words and music, he considers his strength to be as a lyricist.

Ron has four independent CD releases to his credit: A Skinny Old White Man Sings The Blues (1999), Pure Blues Guy (2001), Live Plus One (2004) and Bust Out! (2010), all featuring his original songs. He has also written songs for theatre productions, and his music has been used in independent film.

Ron gigs steadily with several different bands in his hometown, Powell River, BC, and is a guitar instructor at the Powell River Academy of Music.
