Prime Time Heroes

About Prime Time Heroes: Prime Time Heroes began their journey 25 years ago in the San Francisco Bay Area and were then known as American Standard. During their five years together, they played local clubs on a weekly basis. High points for the band included backing up Eddie Money for a fundraiser show, opening a San Jose Civic Auditorium show for Stryper, opening shows for Eric Martin at the Oasis in Sacramento, playing the Concord Pavilion, having two hit singles on KNEW and KMEL radio, and opening for Ronnie Montrose. They slowly lost touch and followed separate paths to work on their own music projects. Fast forward twenty years when they realized that none of the band members had ever found that magic and rapport that they’d had together as American Standard, they got together for a jam and picked up right where they’d left off-only now with a new name, Prime Time Heroes. Their hard-driving rhythm section, hook-oriented songs, and melodic, killer lead vocals makes for a high-energy sound that brings listeners to their feet, yet they can turn around and surprise you with an emotional heartfelt ballad. The band’s influences span from early Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Motown to current favorites such as Corinne Bailey Rae, Rob Thomas, Nikka Costa, Johnny Lang, Train, and John Mayer. Prime Time Heroes has something for everyone: searing rockers, jazzy dance tunes, catchy pop, beautiful ballads, gritty soul, country, rhythm & blues-every song a different story.
