About Joseph VanBuren: Founder of Sykophunk Productions, Joseph VanBuren is a veteren touring/recording artist turned composer. Placing emphasis on mood and imagery, JVB's music is mostly atmospheric but sometimes incorporating electronic elements and beats, fusing the various genres he has worked in. Credits include song placement on The Colbert Report and composing the score for the upcoming indie film Sweat.
JVB's biggest project, Dark Domain, is a horror-inspired collection of gothic and industrial instrumentals - the music to a fiction world he also created. Combining equal parts of Danny Elfman and Nine Inch Nails, JVB composes the soundtrack to a post-apacalyptic world of monsters and madness. The soundtrack and fiction series are both works in progress.
